Nederland en Duitsland: een relatie onder druk
De relatie van Duitsland en Nederland staat steeds meer onder druk. De onderlinge betrekkingen hebben de afgelopen jaren geleden onder de slecht functionerende kabinetten in beide landen. De vanzelfsprekendheid die onder Angela Merkel en Mark Rutte de toon zette, is verdwenen.
Met de komst van nieuwe regeringsleiders dienen zich echter ook nieuwe kansen aan. De buurlanden beseffen dat de geopolitieke uitdagingen meer dan ooit vragen om eensgezindheid en intensieve samenwerking.
In dit vervolg op het in 2014 verschenen overzichtswerk Nieuw nabuurschap houden de auteurs de relatie tussen beide landen opnieuw tegen het licht. Aan de hand van actuele ontwikkelingen, politieke inzichten en inspirerende voorbeelden uit de grensregio laten ze zien waarom een hecht Nederlands-Duits partnerschap essentieel blijft voor de toekomst van Europa.
